Tips for You and Your Caregiver
The following tips will help you and your caregiver in the days and weeks after you receive your insertable cardiac monitor (ICM).
- Follow carefully the at-home instructions given to you by your healthcare team, including lifting restrictions, care for the incision site, and activity levels.
- Contact your doctor if you have any questions or concerns.
- Read the Reveal® Insertable Cardiac Monitor patient manual that you were given after your implant procedure.
- Describe your work environment to your doctor so that he or she can provide advice to minimize interference with your ICM’s data collection.
- If you experience a fainting spell, your caregiver should place the Reveal® Patient Assistant against your skin or clothing over the Reveal Insertable Cardiac Monitor and follow the directions for capturing the episode.
- Keep all of your follow-up office visits with your doctor.
