Take Fainting To Heart

Unexplained fainting can leave you feeling vulnerable. Now’s the time—learn more, take control.

Tips for You and Your Caregiver

The following tips will help you and your caregiver in the days and weeks after you receive your insertable cardiac monitor (ICM).

  • Follow carefully the at-home instructions given to you by your healthcare team, including lifting restrictions, care for the incision site, and activity levels.
  • Contact your doctor if you have any questions or concerns.
  • Read the Reveal® Insertable Cardiac Monitor patient manual that you were given after your implant procedure.
  • Describe your work environment to your doctor so that he or she can provide advice to minimize interference with your ICM’s data collection.
  • If you experience a fainting spell, your caregiver should place the Reveal® Patient Assistant against your skin or clothing over the Reveal Insertable Cardiac Monitor and follow the directions for capturing the episode.
  • Keep all of your follow-up office visits with your doctor.
